Anticylonic conditions will dominate across a large part of Europe during the discussion period with only parts of Northern Scandinavia and parts of Southeastern Europe experiencing any cyclonic activity...A closed 500mb low and associated upper level PV anom will dominate to the Southeast of Italy during the discussion period in association with a surface low pressure over parts of the Eastern Med...As a result some isolated to scattered thunderstorm activity is possible within that region, otherwise activity will be limited or non-existant...A cold frontal feature to the West of Portugal in association with a long wave trough within the Eastern North Atlantic and an associated surface low pressure to the West of the UK may also bring one or two isolated to scattered thunderstorms during the discussion period and these may just enter parts of the coastal regions of Portugal, otherwise any activity is expected to remain over the sea...Any convective/thunderstorm activity that occurs is expected to remain below severe limits...
